Rabbi Joshua O. Haberman Distinguished Scholar Series
Thursday, November 16, 2017
7:30 PM EST - 9:30 PM EST
Since the rise of Christianity, the God of Judaism has been wrongly depicted as a God of vengeance while Christianity presents a God of Love. This begins in the New Testament and continues throughout literature in Shakespeare, Dickens, and even in some Jewish writings. Rabbi Hammer will demonstrate how "the quality of mercy" is really a Jewish value.
Rabbi Reuven Hammer is the former President of the International Rabbinical Assembly and Head of the Masorti Beth Din in Israel.
Join us for a light dessert reception afterwards!
